Hillstown Village Hall Community Garden Project
In June 2021 with the lifting of some restrictions of Covid-19, a group of enthusiastic u3a volunteer gardeners decided to provide a community garden on the grounds of Hillstown Village Hall.
1. Our aims
To make a sustainable garden and seating area for people to enjoy, throughout the year. Helping nature to flourish with all the insects it brings.
2. A no chemical ethos.
We are determined to be organic in all aspects of the garden
3 Recycling the natural rainwater.
We have installed water butts to catch the rainwater from the nearby buildings.
4. Waste composting
Composting our plant waste whenever posssible.
5. Get everyone on board.
We hope to encourage others to join us in making a little plot of nature for all to learn from and enjoy.
...it’s not just about now, it’s about our future.
